Amman AlAhliyya Participates in Huawei Global Conference in China and Discusses Cooperation with Beijing Institute of Technolog

Khaberni - The delegation from Amman Al-Ahliyya University, led by the university president Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, concluded an official visit to the People's Republic of China, where they participated in the Huawei Global Education & Healthcare Partners China Convention 2026, as part of the university's strategy to expand its international partnerships, and enhance its presence in the fields of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and innovation. 
The delegation included Professor Dr. Bashar Tarawneh, Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Moaz Horani, a faculty member of the College of Information Technology, and Mr. Hossam El-Sayed. The visit featured a series of academic and executive meetings, along with field tours of Huawei’s research and development centers, training and innovation facilities, to explore the latest technologies and digital solutions in the fields of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, fifth-generation networks, and smart campuses. 
The delegation held several meetings with senior officials from Huawei, which discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the field of digital education, establishing a Huawei Academy at Amman Al-Ahliyya University, developing specialized laboratories, and providing training programs and certified professional certificates for university students and faculty members, contributing to the preparation of qualified cadres that meet the requirements of modern technology. 
On the sidelines of the conference, the university president, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, held a bilateral meeting with Professor Fang Ding, Deputy Executive Dean of the Graduate School and Executive Dean of the College of Artificial Intelligence at Beijing Institute of Technology, one of the leading Chinese universities in the fields of engineering and artificial intelligence, attended by university delegation members. Both parties discussed prospects for academic and research cooperation between the two institutions. 
The meeting explored the possibility of developing joint academic programs in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data analytics, launching student and academic exchange programs, and implementing joint research projects, in addition to establishing a virtual lab for artificial intelligence, and organizing workshops and innovative competitions, thereby enhancing scientific cooperation between the universities.
 The meetings resulted in an agreement to proceed with signing memoranda of cooperation with the relevant entities, exchanging academic visits, and launching cooperation programs in the fields of scientific research, innovation, and digital transformation, opening new horizons for students, researchers, and faculty members. 
Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan emphasized that this visit represents an important milestone in the university's journey towards enhancing its international presence and building strategic partnerships with leading global academic and technological institutions, noting that Amman Al-Ahliyya University is committed to adopting the latest technologies and developing an advanced educational and research environment, positively reflecting on the quality of education and enhancing the competitiveness of its graduates in local, regional, and international job markets.
