Khaberni - "Resistance Security" in the Gaza Strip announced the execution of a person convicted of collaborating with Israeli intelligence services and involvement in security activities that led to the martyrdom of Palestinians and targeting leaders of resistance factions, including the chief of staff of the Qassam Brigades, Ezzedine Al-Haddad.
"Resistance Security" stated in a release today, Wednesday, that the sentence was carried out against the convict after "all revolutionary procedures were exhausted", accusing him of causing several massacres during the extermination war on the Gaza Strip, and participating in assassination operations targeting leaders of resistance factions, the most recent of which was the assassination of Al-Haddad.
Hamas movement mourned - on May 16th - the general commander of the Qassam Brigades, Ezzedine Al-Haddad, who was martyred in an Israeli raid in Gaza City.
"Fate of the Collaborators"
The "Resistance Security" statement affirmed that the execution of the sentence is part of the pursuit of those accused of collaborating with the Israeli occupation, warning that "this is the fate of the collaborators with the occupation", and calling those they described as "those who have lost their way" to surrender themselves to the security devices of the resistance and return to "the national line".
It added that those accused of collaboration with the Israeli occupation represent only themselves, noting that their actions are in contradiction with what he described as the national role of the Palestinian families and tribes in maintaining internal cohesion and countering Israeli schemes.
A security source in Gaza announced on June 22nd, in statements to the "Al-Haris" platform affiliated with Resistance Security, that the security agencies plan to release filmed confessions of individuals accused of collaborating with Israel, alongside executing penal verdicts against those involved in cases said to have led to the martyrdom of several Palestinians during the war.
The source added at the time that investigations with suspects uncovered - according to his statement - the receipt of instructions from Israeli intelligence aimed at stirring up armed chaos and conducting inciting activities within the Strip.
Behavior Deviating from Palestinian Society
Security sources in Gaza say that Israel intensified during the war its reliance on networks of collaborators to carry out intelligence and security tasks within the Strip, including gathering information and monitoring the movements of resistance leaders and members to prepare for targeting them.
These sources also refer to previous arrest operations against individuals accused of cooperating with Israel, while Palestinian families have denounced in different occasions members they said were involved in activities linked to the occupation.
According to the same sources, the severe humanitarian deterioration and the collapse of life essentials in Gaza during the war provided conditions that Israeli intelligence aimed to exploit to expand their recruitment networks and bolster their security activities within the Strip.
