Iran Establishment of a communication channel to report any violation of the memorandum of understanding with Washington

Khaberni - Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharib Abadi announced on Wednesday the conclusion of the negotiation round in Doha regarding the implementation of the memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington aimed at ending the war in the Middle East, as reported by official media.

The official Iranian news agency "IRNA" quoted Gharib Abadi as saying that participants agreed to "establish a communication channel by tomorrow" to report and discuss any violation of the memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington.

He added that during the meeting with Qatar, an agreement was made to use part of $6 billion in frozen funds to purchase goods based on Iran's needs.

This comes after today's indirect technical talks in Doha between American and Iranian officials through mediators, in the framework of diplomatic efforts and attempts to ease tensions after exchanges of strikes between the two parties.

Washington and Tehran have been engaged in negotiations since mid-June, expected to last 60 days with the possibility of renewal, under the memorandum of understanding they signed on June 17 mediated by Pakistan and Qatar, aiming to end the war that erupted in the Middle East on February 28.

After exchanging attacks over control of the Strait of Hormuz, the United States and Iran announced on Tuesday that they will send officials to Qatar to hold meetings as part of the implementation of the memorandum of understanding.

The memorandum includes several clauses, most prominently the cessation of the war on various fronts, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, lifting the American blockade on Iranian ports, releasing a portion of frozen Iranian assets, and conducting negotiations aimed at reaching a final agreement within a 60-day period subject to extension.

Meanwhile, American President Donald Trump praised on Wednesday the progress made in the negotiations, noting "very good meetings" between the two sides. He said, "Based on how things are going, the nuclear disarmament of Iran is proceeding well. They've had very good meetings, and we'll see what happens," adding "We've hit them very hard, but we get along very well."
