Khaberni - The international star Angelina Jolie revealed that she has not entered any romantic relationship since her separation from Brad Pitt, confirming that her years of motherhood have changed her priorities.
In an interview with "Yahoo Entertainment", Jolie explained that her full commitment to her family has kept her from considering another romantic involvement, stating she felt no need to embark on a new emotional experience after the divorce.
She added: "I haven’t dated anyone since my separation, as my focus was entirely on my children and family, until I felt that this aspect was no longer an essential part of my life."
Jolie's statements coincided with the premiere of her new film "Couture", in which she plays a film director who discovers love in a challenging phase of her life, alongside her struggle with breast cancer.
She noted that the character she portrayed prompted her to reconsider the concept of love, explaining that she realized a woman can balance her role as a mother and her natural need for love, considering that accepting this aspect might be part of her psychological recovery journey.
"Life has broken me a little"
Jolie admitted that the past years have had a significant impact on her personality, stating: "Life has broken me a little... I need to live anew, and be free again."
She also revealed that her daughters, Zahara, Shiloh, and Vivienne, continually encourage her to reclaim her personal life and not to settle solely for being a mother, affirming that their conversations with her made her realize she had lost a part of herself over the past years.
She added: "I believe they want me today not just to be a mother, but also to return to being that woman."
Brad Pitt's disputes have not yet been resolved
Despite the ongoing legal dispute between her and Brad Pitt regarding the winery they own in France, Jolie's statements reflected her desire to turn the page on the past and start a new chapter, focusing on her personal life and regaining balance after years dedicated to raising her children.
