Khaberni - Colonel Mohamed Bani Salameh, Acting Director of Family Protection and Juvenile Administration, revealed the management’s work on establishing a specialized service center for survivors of domestic violence.
Bani Salameh said that the new plan aims to overcome previous gaps in the context of institutional work and coordination between partner institutions and relevant parties in the protection from domestic violence, according to Al-Ghad.
He emphasized that this plan is an extension of accumulative work that began with the Family Protection Department since its establishment in 1997, saying: Long strides have been made in this field, as well as for the National Council for Family Affairs which was established 25 years ago.
He indicated that the coming phase, in light of the new plan, will focus on managing institutional intersections among related institutions in the field of protection from domestic violence, to enhance trust in the institutional role of protecting survivors as well.
