Khaberni - On behalf of His Highness Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, the Minister of Youth Raed Sami Al Adwan sponsored, on Monday, the launch ceremony of the Al Hussein Work and Construction Camps 2026, organized by the Ministry of Youth under the slogan "Independence 80" with the participation of more than 32,000 young men and women.

The opening ceremony, held at the Qadisiyah Youth Hostel, was attended by MP Maysoun Al Qawabah, the Governor of Tafilah Sultan Al-Madi, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Youth Mazen Abu Bakr, and a number of directors of security departments and official and civil society institutions. It featured the inauguration of the Adventure Field at Qadisiyah Youth Hostel, which serves as a space for training challenges and rappelling, and contributes to honing the skills of youth, improving physical fitness and includes a comprehensive track of barriers and physical obstacles that test strength and balance, aimed at breaking the barrier of fear and developing leadership skills and motivation to overcome obstacles.

During the opening, Al Adwan toured the camp stations including Taekwondo and boxing stations, a self-defense station, a first aid station, and a scouting tents station.

The camps aim to enhance values of belonging and loyalty, reinforce the culture of voluntary work, and utilize the youth's time during the summer vacation by developing their skills, discovering their potential, encouraging them to innovate and be creative, and enabling them to keep up with technological advancements.

The camps will continue from June 27 to August 27, across 978 camps, for the age group of 12–30 years.

The camp programs, implemented in cooperation with official, national, security institutions, international organizations, and civil society institutions, include both day camps and overnight stays.

The day camps in youth centers include community service programs, green volunteering, traffic awareness, scouting and guiding, the Jordanian national narrative, rescue efforts and crisis management, and murals, while the central overnight camps include programs on scouting and guiding, managing and designing community initiatives, entrepreneurship and digital skills, Jordanian touristic trails, adventure and challenge, healthy minds "Bright Future", and building peace and partnerships.

This year, for the first time, the Ministry is also implementing a special camp for Jordanian expatriate youth who are visiting the kingdom during the camp period, aimed at enhancing their connection to the homeland and acquainting them with youth programs and projects.
