Khaberni - On Sunday evening, the Israeli occupation forces targeted Abdin village in the western countryside of Daraa province with artillery shells, as reported by the official Syrian news agency correspondent.
The "SANA" correspondent added that the Israeli occupation’s aircraft continue to fly over the countryside of Quneitra and Daraa, in conjunction with the artillery shelling that targeted the village.
The occupation army had earlier on Sunday announced that it had killed "militants" in the security area in southern Syria on Saturday, confirming that it will continue its operations in the area to remove any threats to Israeli civilians and its soldiers.
Earlier, SANA reported that an Israeli occupation force composed of four military vehicles advanced towards the town of Maariya in the Yarmouk Basin area in western Daraa countryside, reaching Abdin village and the Tel Al-Mghar area, after departing from Al-Jazeera barracks.
An occupation force composed of eight military vehicles advanced on Saturday towards the town of Jamla, where they spread out in the town's neighborhoods and searched a number of civilian homes, after seven Israeli military vehicles had entered the village of Maariya the previous day. There, they set up a military checkpoint east of the mosque, conducted inspections of several homes in the vicinity, and interrogated passersby before withdrawing.
SANA pointed out that the occupation forces stationed in Tel Al-Mghar fired towards the surrounding agricultural lands.
Syria says that Israel continues to violate the 1974 disengagement agreement through its incursions into southern Syria and repeated attacks on civilians, including raids, arrests, land leveling, and shelling.
Syria has asserted that all actions taken by the occupation forces on Syrian territory are void and have no legal effect under international law, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities and put an end to these violations and obligate Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria.
