Khaberni - The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported, quoting diplomatic sources, that "if Lebanon fails to implement the agreement, then the scenario of a third round of war is on the agenda in the coming months - perhaps even before the beginning of September".
According to Israeli Channel 12, the United States is asking Israel to make two amendments to the text of the agreement to ensure the deal is completed.
The channel states that the first amendment stipulates the withdrawal of the Israeli army from a village in southern Lebanon currently under military control.
The second amendment calls for a clear pledge and declaration that this step represents the start of a broader process of force redeployment and withdrawal from Lebanon.
