Khaberni - The Turkish art scene has lost one of its most prominent icons, following the death of the artist Kadir İnanır at the age of 77 due to deteriorating health conditions.
İnanır suffered from a severe health crisis that required his transfer to the hospital, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit after being diagnosed with severe pneumonia, in addition to suffering from other health issues that he had been treated for some time.
As his condition worsened and breathing difficulties increased, the medical team decided to intubate him and place him on respiratory support devices in an attempt to save his life. However, his condition continued to deteriorate until his death was announced.
The artist Gülida Koral, a longtime companion of the deceased artist, revealed that medical tests showed the presence of a tumor in the lung that had been hidden behind the symptoms of pneumonia, confirming that doctors made great efforts to control his condition, but his health was critically endangered.
His condition was complicated
The treating doctor, Professor Reza Baran, explained that the artist's situation required close monitoring in the intensive care unit, due to the complexity of his health condition and the multiple complications he experienced, noting that the medical team took all possible treatment measures before announcing his death.
Widespread grief in the art community
The news of Kadir İnanır's death triggered a massive wave of sadness in Turkey, where several artists and media figures mourned him, remembering his long journey and contributions to Turkish cinema.
The artist and musician Orhan Gencebay was among the first to offer condolences, expressing his deep sorrow, confirming that the deceased fulfilled his artistic mission with utmost dedication and left a legacy that will remain present for future generations.

Kadir İnanır is considered one of the most prominent stars of Turkish cinema, having presented dozens of works that achieved widespread popular success. He was known for playing strong and complex characters, making him one of the most influential actors in the history of Turkish cinema.
