Algerian media clarified that by instructions from the Algerian Minister of Interior, Said Saioud, and as a reflection of the culture of recognizing heroic deeds, the General Manager of Oran International Airport, Ahmed Ben Bella, Najib Ben Shanan, officially offered an employment position to the hero young man, Ben Kelfa Nasser.
This followed a phone call from the General Manager of Oran International Airport, Najib Ben Shanan, to the young man, Ben Kelfa Nasser. He stated that he received a call for employment at Oran Airport, thanking the Minister of Interior for his attention, and also the airport director.
In a breathtaking heroic scene, the young man risked his life to save two children trapped in an apartment on the tenth floor of a residential building, following the outbreak of a horrifying fire inside.
The incident occurred midday Friday, injuring 4 individuals, including 3 suffering from breathing difficulties due to smoke inhalation, two children, a man and a woman who suffered burns on her right hand.
The Algerian Minister of Youth, Mustafa Haidawi, sent a message of thanks and recognition to the young man after his intervention to rescue lives and help those trapped in the fire that broke out in the Jasmine district of Bir El Djir municipality in Oran province.
The Algerian General Directorate for Civil Protection also extended its sincere thanks and appreciation to the young man, who embodied the highest meanings of courage and selflessness.
