Khaberni - The deputy of the Jordanian National Union Party, engineer Jihad Aboui, delivered the speech of the Jordanian parliamentary delegation during the proceedings of the General Conference of the International Parliamentary Assembly for Orthodoxy, held in the Finnish capital, Helsinki, which was dedicated to discussing "the reality of Christian presence in conflict areas and the challenges it faces."
Aboui affirmed, in his speech, Jordan's steadfast position under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II in supporting the values of religious coexistence, and consolidating a culture of dialogue, and the protection of Islamic and Christian holy sites, emphasizing the importance of preserving the Christian presence in the Middle East as an integral component of the region’s history and cultural identity, and calling for the enhancement of international efforts to protect communities affected by conflicts and to strengthen security, stability, and peace.
