The Ivorian team defeated their counterpart, the Curaçao team, with two clean goals on Thursday in the third round of the group stage at the Philadelphia stadium, sealing their qualification to the next round as runner-up in Group 5, behind Germany by goal difference, at a climactic end to the group stage of the World Cup 2026.
Neola Pepe initiated the scoring for "The Elephants" in the 7th minute.
Pepe appeared again to double the score for the Ivorian team (64).
