With an English Record City Completes Its First Deal

Khaberni  - Manchester City has agreed on its first summer deal to strengthen its squad for the upcoming 2026-2027 season.

Fabrizio Romano, a transfer market expert, stated on his X account that Manchester City has completed its agreement to acquire the services of Elliot Anderson, a star at Nottingham Forest.

"A final agreement has been reached between Manchester City and Nottingham Forest to complete the deal, with a value that could reach up to 130 million pounds sterling," he added.

"Sources within Manchester City confirmed that the deal was fully finalized after the negotiations reached their final stages, as previously reported last week," he continued.

"Anderson informed Nottingham Forest's management today of his desire to leave the club and proceed with the transfer," he noted.

Romano explained, "The English player will undergo a medical examination in the United States, in preparation for officially completing the deal."

Elliot Anderson is currently participating with his national team in the World Cup, knowing that his contract with Nottingham extends until the summer of 2029.

The BBC Network reported that Anderson's transfer to Manchester City will become the most expensive in the history of English football.

"The value of Anderson's deal will surpass the previous record in England, which was the transfer of striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle to Liverpool, worth 125 million pounds sterling last summer," they continued.
