Khaberni - The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority announced, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the blocking of messaging applications during the sessions of the general secondary certificate exams, from June 25, 2026, to July 18, 2026, in the vicinity of the exam halls and during their convening.
The Authority stated that the decision is aimed at ensuring the integrity of the general secondary certificate exams, indicating that the blocking of messaging applications will start a few minutes before each session begins and will end immediately after the session concludes.
On Thursday, the first session of the general secondary certificate exam "Tawjihi" for the year 2026 began, with the participation of 196,029 candidates. The Ministry of Education confirmed that all technical and administrative preparations have been completed to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams across different regions of the kingdom.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, Mahmoud Hayasat, told "Al-Mamlaka" that the exams would be held in 790 examination centers, comprising 1,899 examination halls, in addition to reserve halls in all directorates of education. Additionally, 38 centers have been allocated for marking exam papers, distributed across various provinces of the kingdom.
