AlSafadi Jordan is fully prepared to offer all possible assistance to Venezuela

Khaberni  - Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi, said on Thursday, his deepest condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the Republic of Venezuela for the victims of the two earthquakes that struck the country.

Al-Safadi said, through the X platform, "Under the directives of His Majesty, Jordan is fully prepared to offer all possible assistance to Venezuela."

He added, "Our hearts are with the earthquake victims in Venezuela, and we extend our warmest condolences to their people and government."

Two earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, struck Venezuela causing dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries according to preliminary figures, while witnesses saw collapsed buildings and scenes of panic in the capital, Caracas.

Acting President Delcy Rodriguez declared a state of emergency, and Caracas airport was closed, which she said suffered significant damage.

Rodriguez announced on Thursday that at least 32 people had died and more than 700 were injured in a preliminary tally from the earthquakes that struck the country on Wednesday.
