Khaberni - US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the party responsible for the raid that targeted a girls' school in the Iranian city of Minab on the first day of the war with Iran, which killed 175 children and a teacher, "may never be known", indicating that ongoing investigations have not yet resolved who is to blame.
Reuters had reported in March that a preliminary internal investigation by the US military concluded that US forces were likely responsible for the deadly raid that occurred in Minab, southern Iran. The Pentagon has since expanded the scope of the investigation but has not announced any preliminary results yet.
Trump told reporters that the conditions accompanying military operations make pinpointing the source of the strike complicated, saying, "I don't know if they will ever solve this problem."
He added that missiles were "flying everywhere" during the fighting.
