Saybari Writes History Unprecedented Moroccan Achievement in the World Cup

Khaberni  - Ismail Saybari carved his name into the records of Moroccan soccer history, after becoming the first player in the history of "Atlas Lions" to succeed in scoring in 3 consecutive World Cup matches.

This historic achievement for Saybari took place during the match that brought together the Moroccan team with its counterpart from Haiti, in the third round of Group C of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup, which is hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Saybari managed to score the second goal for the Moroccan team in the first additional minute of the first half.

Saybari opened his scoring record in the current World Cup by scoring his country's goal in the match that ended 1-1 against Brazil, before returning and scoring the only goal in Morocco's 1-0 win over Scotland in the second round.

Saybari presented a notable performance in terms of numbers in the World Cup, as he scored the fastest goal in the history of Moroccan and Arab participations in the World Cup, just 71 seconds into the match against Scotland, surpassing the previous record set by Hakim Ziyech (3 minutes and 30 seconds in the 2022 World Cup).

At the level of tactical effectiveness, statistics from the "Opta" network indicate that Saybari leads the list of players executing the highest number of high-speed sprints (between 20 and 25 km/h) in the first two rounds with a total of 91 sprints, as well as leading the list of sprints during ball possession with a total of 45 sprints, making him the primary offensive driver for the "Atlas Lions" in this edition.
