Khaberni - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mazen Al-Qadi met with the President of the Omani Shura Council, Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, the First Deputy of the President of the UAE Federal National Council, Hamid Al Tayer, and the First Deputy of the President of the Iraqi House of Representatives, Adnan Al-Dulaimi, as part of his agenda participating in the conference of the Union of the Member States' Councils in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. During the meetings, ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation and exchange of expertise were discussed, alongside a number of issues of mutual interest, and the emphasis on strengthening them in various fields.
During his meeting with the President of the Omani Shura Council, Al-Qadi emphasized the depth of the fraternal and historical relations that bind Jordan and the Sultanate of Oman, cared for and attended by His Majesty King Abdullah II and his brother His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, stressing the importance of enhancing parliamentary cooperation to serve the joint interests of the two brotherly countries.
Al-Qadi also affirmed, during his meeting with the Deputy President of the UAE Federal Council, the solidity of the Jordanian-UAE relations that rely on the close fraternal ties between His Majesty King Abdullah II and his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressing Jordan's constant eagerness to enhance parliamentary cooperation and develop the distinguished relations between the two countries for the benefit and common interest of the two brotherly peoples.
During his meeting with the First Deputy of the President of the Iraqi House of Representatives, Al-Qadi confirmed Jordan's constant eagerness to enhance parliamentary cooperation with brotherly Iraq, contributing to the development of bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of continuing coordination and consultation regarding issues of mutual interest, to achieve joint interests and benefit both countries and the brotherly peoples.
As part of the conference agenda, the deputies: Atallah Al-Haneiti, Mohammad Al-Sbaileh, Mahmoud Al-Nuaimat, Adnan Mashouqah, and Senator Omar Al-Ayasra participated in the work of the specialized committees of the Union of Member States in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation: the permanent committee on Palestine, the committee on minorities and Muslim communities, the committee on cultural and legal affairs, the committee on economic and environmental affairs, and the committee on human rights and women and family.
The deputy Hussein Kreishan was selected as a member of the Permanent Committee for Political Affairs and Foreign Relations, deputy Mohammad Bani Melhem as a member of the Permanent Committee for Cultural Affairs and Interfaith Dialogue, deputy Nimer Alsulihat, and senator Ghazi Al-Serhan as members of the Permanent Committee of the Union.
