Khaberni - The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Tourism Promotion Authority, in collaboration with the Jordanian Embassy in Madrid, and sponsored by Jordan's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain Raghad Al-Saqqa, held a reception on the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of the Kingdom's independence and national occasions, attended by Her Highness Princess Sarah bint Asem, a number of officials, representatives of the Spanish economic, tourism, and cultural sectors, along with members of the accredited diplomatic corps in Madrid, and members of the Jordanian community.
According to a statement from the Authority, today Wednesday, the event included a number of heritage and cultural segments that highlighted aspects of Jordanian heritage, including the Dabke dance, traditional clothing and embroidery, craftsmanship, and music.
The event featured a series of promotional videos that highlighted investment opportunities in the Kingdom, as well as its tourist, natural, historical, and religious attributes, emphasizing the Kingdom as a safe, authentic, and rich experience destination. As part of the efforts to promote tourism, Royal Jordanian Airlines conducted a draw for two travel tickets to Jordan.
In her speech at the event, Ambassador Al-Saqqa stated that the eightieth anniversary of the Kingdom’s independence represents a national milestone that encapsulates Jordan’s journey in building, resilience, and development under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
