However, the tension that has emerged publicly in the recent period between Trump and Netanyahu was preceded by another tension last year, just a few days before the announcement of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and a prisoner exchange.

A new book has revealed details of a tense phone call that occurred between the US President and the Israeli government head. The book, titled 'Regime Change' by journalists Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, describes that the call between Trump and Netanyahu included severe reproaching. The US President reportedly yelled at Netanyahu, hurling insults at him.
Trump also told Netanyahu in the call, which also included Jared Kushner and White House special envoy Steve Witkoff: "Everyone is sick of you, Bibi.. Every Jew is sick of you, even the two Jews on the line were sick of you", referring to Kushner and Witkoff.
These revelations come among the chapters of this book that deals with developments of the first year of Trump's second term, showcasing behind-the-scenes of several political files and relationships between high-ranking officials in the USA and abroad, as well as the behind-the-scenes of the White House.
It also came amid new tension between the two men on the background of the agreement between America and Iran, and the war in Lebanon. In recent weeks, Trump has described Netanyahu as "damn crazy" and rebuked Israel saying, "You don't have to demolish an apartment every time you are looking for someone."
