Amman Arab University organizes a specialized workshop in forensic accounting to enhance integrity and governance in Greater Ajl

Khaberni  - As part of the continued efforts of Amman Arab University to transfer knowledge and academic expertise to public sector institutions, and to enhance modern professional practices that contribute to enhancing institutional performance efficiency and cementing principles of integrity and transparency, the Accounting Department in the Business College, in cooperation with the Greater Ajloun Municipality, organized a specialized workshop titled: "Forensic Accounting and Enhancing Integrity and Financial Oversight in Municipalities", for employees in the financial and supervisory departments of the municipality, with the attendance of Engineer Mohammad Bshabsheh, Head of the Greater Ajloun Municipality Committee, and Mr. Hussein Al-Qudah, Assistant for Financial and Administrative Affairs of the Greater Ajloun Municipality Committee.

Al-Qudah opened the workshop, emphasizing the importance of specialized training programs in developing and enhancing the capabilities of employees in the municipal sector, and improving their professional efficiency, which positively reflects on the quality of services provided to the community. He also appreciated the scientific and community role played by Amman Arab University in supporting national institutions, through preparing and qualifying human talents, and enhancing partnerships with various sectors, contributing to sustainable development.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Assouli, a faculty member at the Business College of Amman Arab University, discussed the latest concepts and applications in the field of forensic accounting, its role in enhancing financial integrity and detecting cases of fraud and financial corruption, in addition to clarifying the fundamental differences between financial auditing and forensic accounting, and showcasing the best practices in risk management and financial operations control in municipalities. Dr. Al-Assouli also highlighted modern technology applications in supporting financial oversight systems, and the importance of building an integrated institutional system based on transparency, accountability, and effective governance, alongside displaying practical models and applications that reflect the role of forensic accounting in protecting public funds and enhancing institutional performance efficiency.

Engineer Bshabsheh confirmed the importance of continuous enhancement of cooperation with Amman Arab University, praising its scientific, training, and voluntary initiatives that embody its active commitment to its community responsibility, and underline its role in supporting local development endeavors and building institutional capacities. He noted that these initiatives contribute to the exchange of expertise between the university and various sectors, and improve the efficiency of the workforce, which positively impacts the quality of institutional performance and the sustainability of development.

This workshop demonstrates the commitment of Amman Arab University to employing its academic and research expertise in serving the community, enhancing strategic partnerships with various national institutions, contributing to the dissemination of specialized knowledge, developing professional competencies, and supporting efforts for administrative and financial reform, ultimately leading to more efficient, transparent institutions capable of achieving sustainable development.
