Khaberni - Cairo witnessed the death of a 3-year-old child in his father's car, who had forgotten him on the back seat for several hours in a suffocating and scorching environment inside the car.
The details of the incident began after the father, an employee at a private company, was following the national team's match against New Zealand; he had taken his child in the morning to drop him off at the nursery. Along the way, the little one fell into a deep sleep in the back seat, which made the father forget his original destination and head directly to his workplace in the Fifth Settlement area.
The father parked the car, locked all doors and windows completely, and left it, without noticing that his child was trapped inside under the high temperatures.
The tragedy was not discovered until several hours later, when the father received a phone call from his wife informing him that the nursery administration had called to inquire about the child's absence. At that moment, the father was struck with immense shock and remembered that he had left his child in the car, so he rushed to it only to find the little one had already died from suffocation.
The competent authorities in Egypt have started their extensive investigations to determine the circumstances of the incident and have taken all necessary legal measures concerning the event.
