Khaberni - The Income and Sales Tax Department has urged companies, establishments, and individuals who have pending tax claims due until December 31, 2024, to initiate the submission of settlement and tax reconciliation applications and to benefit from the facilities and exemptions provided, before the deadline ends at the end of the current June.
The department confirmed that the Tax Settlement and Reconciliation Committee continues to receive applications for settlement or installment electronically through the department's website, to benefit from the prescribed exemptions and facilities, according to the approved principles, which helps in settling the tax status and clearing the financial liabilities from previous years.
It indicated that the settlement applications include claims for income and sales tax regardless of their value, including the files for which final judicial decisions have been issued, except for cases related to the crime of tax evasion.
The department pointed out that the applications are submitted electronically through a dedicated form on its website, without incurring any fees or costs, whether the application is submitted by the taxpayer directly or through their agent.
The department has called on taxpayers to take initiative and benefit from the available period until the end of the current June to settle the tax claims due on them and to submit settlement applications based on the data and figures approved by it, stating that the committee studies the submitted applications and takes the necessary recommendations in accordance with the established principles and instructions.
It added that submitting applications does not require a personal review of the department's offices, allowing taxpayers to complete their transactions easily and smoothly and to benefit from electronic services available within the tax settlement and reconciliation procedures, before the deadline ends at the end of the current month.
