Architecture Engineering Students at Arab Amman Discuss Quality Graduation Projects Aimed at Serving the Local Community

Khaberni - Within the efforts of the Faculty of Engineering at Arab Amman University to achieve its vision and mission in preparing outstanding engineering cadres capable of keeping up with scientific and technological developments and serving the community, and following the directives of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Widian, the president of the university, and under the supervision of Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, the dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Raham Al-Asmar, the head of the Architecture Engineering department, the architecture engineering students discussed their graduation projects for the second semester of the academic year 2025-2026. The projects were supervised by Prof. Dr. Hanan Ahmad, a faculty member at the Faculty of Engineering, and attended by faculty and administrative staff and students.

The judging panel, which consisted of Professor Dr. Ayman Toma, Dr. Farouk Yaghmoor, and Engineer Diana Tarzi, praised the advanced academic and intellectual level reflected in the projects presented, appreciating the great efforts made by the students in completing their projects and achieving the course outcomes efficiently and competently. The panel confirmed that the projects demonstrated the students' ability to employ acquired knowledge and skills in offering innovative architectural solutions and designs that meet the practical requirements and contemporary challenges. The projects stood out for their variety of goals connected to the local community's needs in Jordan, addressing cultural, technological, developmental, and entrepreneurial issues through designing an interactive center for documenting Palestinian resilience, a multi-disciplinary center for digital transformation and artificial intelligence, an incubator for innovative projects and entrepreneurship, alongside a cultural recreational project that includes a pedestrian park, reflecting the students’ awareness of societal issues and their ability to present architectural visions that meet future needs. The graduates’ projects included titles such as: student Ainas Musa Mohammad Ramadan - project titled: "Interactive center for documenting Palestinian resilience," student Danah Ghazi Mohammad Attari - project titled: "Multi-discipline Hub for Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence," student Sarah Ahmad Shweikani - project titled: "The Arab Incubator for Innovative Projects and Entrepreneurship," and student Abeer Mustafa Mohammad Zahra - project titled: "Mix-used Pedestrian Park."

At the end of the discussions, the judging panel praised the exceptional academic and creative level reflected in the students’ projects, confirming that what the students presented reflects the quality of educational outcomes and professional skills they acquired during their study journey. The panel also emphasized the commitment of the Architecture Engineering department and the Faculty of Engineering at Arab Amman University to support creativity and innovation, enhance the integration between theoretical and practical aspects, consolidate the relationship between academic education and community needs and the labor market, contributing to preparing qualified architectural engineers who possess the competence and ability to effectively participate in the national development journey and meet the evolving requirements of the engineering sector.
