Khaberni - In its commitment to enhance sustainable communication with its graduates and establish partnership with them as one of the most prominent contributors to its success and excellence, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized the ninth meeting for its alumni, attended by the Dean of the Jordanian Pharmacists, Dr. Zaid Al-Kilani, and with wide participation from the faculty's graduates and representatives of health and pharmaceutical institutions.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Alaa Al-Hasban, and several members of the Jordanian Pharmacists Syndicate council, faculty's academic and administrative members, as well as representatives from hospitals, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies, along with a group of the faculty's alumni working in various pharmaceutical sectors both in Jordan and abroad.
In his opening remarks, Professor Dr. Alaa Al-Hasban emphasized that the Faculty of Pharmacy continues to develop its academic programs at both the bachelor's and master's levels in line with the latest developments in pharmaceutical education and market requirements, pointing out that preparing well-qualified pharmaceutical cadres, scientifically, professionally, and capable of competing and excelling locally, regionally, and internationally, remains a top priority of the faculty.
He added that the alumni represent the true extension of the college's mission and its ambassadors at their various workplaces, stressing the importance of maintaining communication bridges with them and benefiting from their professional experiences and insights in improving the educational process and enhancing the quality of its outputs. He also appreciated the constructive cooperation with the Jordanian Pharmacists Syndicate and the health and pharmaceutical institutions that support practical training programs and professional qualification for students.
On his part, Dr. Zaid Al-Kilani expressed his pride in the collaborative relationship between the Jordanian Pharmacists Syndicate and the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, praising the scientific and professional level of the faculty's graduates, which reflects the quality of the academic programs and the efficiency of the faculty members.
Al-Kilani highlighted the main challenges and changes facing the profession of pharmacy and the labor market, affirming the Syndicate's commitment to supporting new pharmacists professionally, and enhancing opportunities for continuous development and training through cooperation with universities and academic institutions to advance the profession and serve the health sector.
The meeting included a series of interactive events and open dialogues that allowed the graduates to exchange professional experiences and showcase their practical experiences, alongside honoring some outstanding graduates and partners supporting the faculty, in an atmosphere that reflected a sense of belonging and pride in the faculty.
This meeting is part of a series of initiatives and activities undertaken by the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan aimed at enhancing the graduates' connection with their university, and expanding the professional network between them and the health and pharmaceutical institutions, thereby supporting their professional journey and enhancing the role of the faculty in serving the community and the health sector.
