Engineers Syndicate Ghosheh The meeting with the Prime Minister was positive and will be built upon in the next stage

Khaberni - The Jordanian Engineers Association briefed the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Engineer Maher Abu Al-Samn, on the outcomes of the steering committee for the retirement fund and the committee for updating the syndicate's law legislations during his visit to the syndicate and his meeting with the head of the syndicate, Engineer Abdullah Asem Ghosheh, and the members of the syndicate council, with ministry officials in attendance.

Abu Al-Samn stated that the Prime Minister, Dr. Jaafar Hassan, emphasized the need for cooperation with the syndicate to resolve all issues it faces, and assist it in addressing problems and comments that arise.

Abu Al-Samn confirmed the ministry's openness to the syndicate and its readiness to provide the support needed for the syndicate to implement its professional, legal, and financial directions.

He mentioned the support provided by the ministry in training new engineers, numbering about 250, some of whom have begun their training at the ministry.

For his part, the head of the Engineers Syndicate, Engineer Abdullah Asem Ghosheh, thanked the government, represented by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Public Works, for their cooperation with the syndicate, praising the meeting that gathered them with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Public Works, confirming that it will be built upon in the upcoming stage.

Engineer Ghosheh reviewed the most important files that the syndicate is working on, which will be accomplished during the current year, particularly in relation to the retirement fund and the amendments to the legislations including the syndicate's law.

The head of the Engineers Syndicate presented the details of the training agreement signed between the ministry and the syndicate, and the joint workshops that should be worked on, which contribute to the service of engineers in the ministry.

The deputy head of the Engineers Syndicate, head of the steering committee for the retirement fund, Engineer Ahmad Al-Falahat, explained the outcomes of the committee's work and the timeline and steps that the syndicate will proceed with to resolve and enact them, and continue with the necessary legal stages for its implementation.

He mentioned the existence of eight scenarios related to the future of the retirement fund, with emphasis on the recommendation to separate the financial accounts of the funds and approve the engineering stamp to support the retirement fund, after the Executive Director of the retirement fund, Engineer Ahmad Al-Bou presented a comprehensive reform plan for the fund starting from the diagnostic stage to the challenges and concluding with solutions.

A member of the syndicate council, head of the legislation updating committee, Engineer Saleh Al-Ghuwairi explained the work of the committee, noting that it led to four work teams that presented their recommendations and proposals related to the suggested amendments to the syndicate's law and regulations.

During the meeting, they discussed the cooperation agreement signed by the syndicate with its Egyptian counterpart, the Center for Engineering Studies and Research, and the inspection tours of the National Building Council in the provinces, where the attendees emphasized the need to intensify the inspection tours and instruct the formed committees to continuously follow up on building licenses and various permits.
