Israeli Incursions into Syria and Condemnations at the Security Council Undermining Stability Efforts

Khaberni - Israeli occupation forces arrested a young man in the middle of Monday-Tuesday night during a raid and search operation in the village of Ain Ziwan in the southern Quneitra countryside, before releasing him hours later amidst ongoing Israeli violations of the 1974 disengagement agreement in southern Syria.

"Syria Now" correspondent reported that the occupation forces raided several houses in the village, searched them before arresting the young man and transferring him to an unknown location.

According to the state-run "Syrian News Channel", the occupation forces released the young man, noting the continuation of the occupation's assaults through "incursions into the southern regions, assaulting civilians through raids, detentions, and land grading, and firing shells."

In a concurrent field development, local sources reported that an Israeli military patrol, consisting of at least two tanks, infiltrated the Tal Abu Qubeis area in the southern Quneitra countryside today, Tuesday.

International Condemnation of Israeli Assaults in Syria
Monday's session of the UN Security Council on Syria witnessed condemnation of the ongoing Israeli assaults on Syrian territory, with affirmations of rejecting any Israeli military presence in the Golan and the buffer zone, and considering this a blatant violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions.

In his speech to the Council, Syria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ibrahim al-Jaafari, held Israel responsible for obstructing stability in Syria, referring to "the statement by the Prime Minister of the occupation announcing that he would not withdraw from the areas he had incursed into after liberation, in conjunction with the announcement of the American memorandum", affirming that this stance confirms that Israel is the primary obstacle to stability despite American mediation, through its assaults on the rights of Syrians and its violation of international law and Security Council resolutions. Al-Jaafari stated: "Netanyahu escalates and defies the world," as reported by the Syrian News Agency "SANA".

On his part, the Deputy Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Syria, Claudio Cordone, denounced the ongoing Israeli assaults and almost daily incursions into Syrian territories, demanding adherence to the 1974 disengagement agreement and the release of detainees.

The French delegate called on Israel to stop its assaults on Syrian territories, considering that the continuation of these violations undermines stability efforts, while the British delegate expressed concern over the increasing Israeli military activity and violations of the disengagement agreement, reaffirming the fixed position that the Golan is Syrian occupied territory.

The Russian delegate emphasized that Israeli aggressive activities are a major factor in destabilizing Syria, urging Israel to strictly adhere to Security Council resolutions, while the Chinese delegate considered that the Israeli military presence in the separation area lacks legal basis, reaffirming that the Golan is occupied Syrian territory.

The Turkish representative affirmed that Israeli assaults affect the stability in Syria and must stop immediately, while the Saudi representative demanded an immediate and unconditional withdrawal from the Golan and occupied territories, affirming the Arab group's support for Syria's unity and territorial integrity.

The Danish delegate condemned the Israeli assaults and called for withdrawal from Syrian territories and compliance with the 1974 agreement, while the Panamanian delegate emphasized the need to respect sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Syria, and the Pakistani delegate condemned the ongoing Israeli violations of sovereignty, demanding a halt to the aggressions and implementation of UN resolutions.
