Khaberni - The Cabinet approved in its session held on Tuesday, chaired by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, the building licensing and supervision system inside the boundaries of Amman Municipality for the year 2026.
The system aims to develop an integrated framework for managing construction activities within the boundaries of Amman Municipality in all its phases, within a specific legal framework that works on controlling, unifying, and simplifying the procedures for granting construction licenses, permits, approvals, permissions, and related procedures, and supervising their implementation.
It also aims to enhance transparency in the procedures related to issuing construction licenses, ensuring they are within specified and binding time frames for the Municipality, and preventing overlaps and repetitions in some transaction procedures through the activation of modern electronic means including artificial intelligence systems and electronic linking with relevant official, service, and professional entities.
The system will establish a supervisory system that ensures compliance with the regulations and building laws, and issued plans by the Municipality, enabling it to take necessary administrative actions to correct violations within a clear and specified sequence linked to defined time periods.
