Khaberni - Informed sources revealed that the young man who died as a result of the stampede that occurred at dawn today in Al-Hashemiya Square during the public gatherings to watch the national team's match against Algeria, is still unidentified until now.
The sources clarified that the deceased was not carrying any documents or identification papers that could help in identifying him, while the initial estimates by forensic doctors indicate that his age ranges between 16 and 20 years old.
The sources added that the body was transferred to the National Center for Forensic Medicine at Al-Bashir Hospital, where it will be kept pending the arrival of his relatives or someone who can identify him.
According to the sources, the initial examination showed only one bruise on the body, while the legal and medical procedures necessary to determine the cause of death will be completed.
The sources pointed out that the body will remain in the morgue at Al-Bashir hospitals for up to 48 hours, and if the identity of the deceased is not determined during this period, an autopsy of the body will be performed according to the approved procedures to ascertain the cause of death.
