Khaberni - The Israeli occupation forces have expanded their control to cover about 70% of the Gaza Strip lands, and military establishment estimates suggest that the Israeli-controlled area could expand in the coming months.
This comes according to the Israeli website Walla, amidst assessments claiming that Hamas is stalling in implementing the agreement, and continues to entrench its presence in the area, recruit new elements, and prepare for the possibility of renewed fighting against Israel.
Meanwhile, as security focus primarily shifts towards Iran and Lebanon, the commander of the Southern Command in the Israeli army leads three main aspects in the Gaza Strip: neutralizing so-called threats along the "yellow line," expanding operational control, enhancing defenses, and preparing for another campaign against Hamas, alongside preparing the situation in Rafah as part of the American plan for a "green city".
According to the Israeli report, the Southern Command in the Israeli army conducts daily intelligence briefings on the situation along the "yellow line" and deep within the Gaza Strip, aiming to coordinate intelligence information between military intelligence, the Shin Bet, and the Southern Command.
This comes in preparation for facing various scenarios, including preparations for operations carried out by the resistance, a list of the militants and dealing with them through ground and aerial raids, and protecting the borders between the Israeli-controlled lands and the areas controlled by Hamas.
A military source explained that the Israeli army and the Shin Bet keep a list of assassination targets who were directly or indirectly involved in the October 7 attack.
A military source told "Walla": "It is likely that the scope of operational control in the Palestinian territories will expand in the coming months, while it seems that Hamas is slow in entrenching its presence in the area, recruiting its elements, and preparing for war with Israel."
Meanwhile, the Israeli army continues to expand the scope of new roads and paving, updating the forward positions facing the yellow line, updating information gathering techniques, and strengthening the regular and reserve forces.
The third campaign according to the Israeli report is divided into two main parts. The first includes preparations for a multidimensional war against Hamas. If Hamas refuses to disarm, the Israeli army will be forced, with the approval of the political leadership, to launch an attack on Hamas, most of whose elements are hiding in Gaza City.
The second part includes designing the space and preparing for the possibility that the Americans might be asked to carry out the construction of the "green city" in the Rafah area, even if Hamas does not disarm and even if a multinational force does not enter the area.
The Americans have tendered for the construction of infrastructure and buildings.
The "Walla" website revealed that the United States is initially interested in constructing housing for fifty thousand Palestinians who will undergo security checks and live in the "green area".
