Khaberni - Palestinian Interior Minister Major General Ziad Hab Al-Reeh, on Monday, discussed with his Jordanian counterpart Mazen Al-Faraya ways to strengthen mutual cooperation and facilitate travel and movement across the King Hussein Bridge, which contributes to improving services provided to travelers and alleviating their suffering.
This came during a meeting held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, attended by the Director General of the Palestinian Police Major General Allam Al-Saqa, Director General of the Palestinian Civil Defense Major General Akram Thawabta, Director General of the Border and Crossings Authority Amin Qandeel, and Director General of International Cooperation in the Ministry of Interior Brigadier Mahmoud Salah al-Din.
Hab Al-Rih appreciated the Jordanian stances supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and the efforts made by the Kingdom to address challenges associated with travel movement across the bridge, reflecting their commitment to alleviating the suffering of travelers and improving their travel conditions.
He confirmed the continuation of efforts and coordination with various relevant entities to increase the working hours at the crossing and to raise the number of travelers allowed to cross, in line with the increasing growth in travel movement and improving the level of services provided to citizens.
The two sides agreed to continue coordination and mutual cooperation and to hold an onsite meeting at the King Hussein Bridge next Thursday to monitor the situation on the ground, assess the measures taken, and work on enhancing the flow of movement and facilitating the citizens' travel.
In the same context, upon his arrival in Jordan, Hab Al-Rih held a meeting with the authorities and administrations working on the bridge, during which the field work reality and measures taken to eliminate causes of suffering, improve waiting conditions, and organize travelers' movement were reviewed, ensuring greater fluidity in travel and movement.
