Khaberni - OPPO has officially started revealing the key details of its new Reno 16 series, days before the anticipated global launch scheduled for June 25.
An early step through which the company showcases the design features and screen, with the phones set to hit the Indian market in early July, according to technology news site gizmochina.
OPPO is preparing to launch a wide range of Reno 16 series phones including several models such as Reno 16F, Reno 16 FS, Reno 16 Pro, and Reno 16 Pro Mini, but so far, the company has only confirmed the arrival of Reno 16 and Reno 16c in the Indian market in the first phase of the release.
The new series relies on a completely different design identity named HoloVerse 3D, which OPPO describes as the first three-dimensional design of its kind in India.
This innovation is clearly demonstrated in the Starry White edition, where the back cover presents a visual effect that suggests the presence of a cosmic body floating beneath the surface of the phone, changing its appearance according to the viewing angle and lighting.
This effect is based on a dual-layer optical structure containing millions of microscopic lenses, along with enhanced aesthetic touches around the rear camera unit, with additional colors including: Twilight Violet and Stellar Purple, alongside Starry White.
At the display level, OPPO offers AMOLED displays with different specs between the models:
Reno 16 comes with a 6.32-inch screen with +FHD resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, featuring ultra-thin edges of 1.6 mm and a screen-to-body ratio of 93.4%.
Meanwhile, Reno 16c features a larger 6.57-inch screen with +FHD resolution and also a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The brightness levels reach:
1800 nits for Reno 16
1400 nits for Reno 16c
A slimmer structure and precisely calculated weight
Despite significant enhancements in screen and design, OPPO has managed to keep the devices relatively light:
Reno 16 has a thickness of 8.22 mm and weighs 182 grams.
Reno 16c has a thickness of 8.44 mm and weighs 195 grams.
OPPO has also focused on durability, with the new series featuring a range of protection standards including: IP66, IP68, and IP69. The frame is reinforced with aluminum used in the aerospace industry.
One of the notable new additions in the Reno 16 series is the emergence of a new side button named AI Snap Key, which is a customizable button that allows direct execution of multiple functions such as activating the camera, flashlight, or sound recorder, in addition to supporting instant translation.
Incorporating artificial intelligence through AI Mind Space
OPPO is expanding the integration of artificial intelligence technologies through the AI Mind Space platform, which combines the capabilities of multiple models such as Google, Perplexity, and ChatGPT, to organize, store, and retrieve information in a smarter and smoother way within the system.
In conjunction with the unveiling of the series, leaks suggest that OPPO may also announce a new accessory named Oppo Bubble, alongside the wireless earbuds Oppo Enco Air 5, within a system of complementary products for the new phones.
