Khaberni - By the end of April 2026, local revenues reached approximately 3308 million dinars, compared with 3307 million dinars during the same period from 2025, thus maintaining their levels from the previous year despite the security disturbances in the region.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the financial data at the end of April 2026 indicates that tax revenues amounted to about 2456 million dinars, with 930 million dinars in income tax and about 1399 million collected from the general sales tax, while customs and real estate sales tax collections were about 91.5 million dinars and 35 million dinars respectively. Non-tax revenues amounted to 852 million dinars during the same period of this year.
The value of grants received by the kingdom in the first third of the current year was about 96 million dinars, compared with 21.6 million dinars for the same period of 2025, thus recording general revenues (including grants) of about 3404 million dinars compared with 3329 million dinars in the same period of the previous year.
This collection for this period is an indicator of the stability of the tax base and the efficiency of collection, despite the circumstances surrounding the region.
Regarding government spending, the total expenditure until the end of April 2026 was about 4090 million dinars, with 3754.5 million dinars in current expenses, and 336 million dinars in capital expenditures.
It is worth noting that capital spending increased by 2% for the first third of the current year compared with the same period of 2025, in line with government directives to continue spending on capital projects due to their positive effects on improving the level of economic activity and providing job opportunities for citizens.
