AlShara We will not go to Lebanon and the solution with Hezbollah must be through dialogue not war

Khaberni - Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shara confirmed that Syria does not seek to engage in any confrontation inside Lebanon, stressing that there are alternative solutions to war that can contribute to addressing the ongoing crises in the region.

Al-Shara said that he informed US President Donald Trump about the existence of other options besides war or confrontation with Hezbollah, explaining that Damascus’s vision for the solution is based on stopping the war and addressing its negative repercussions on Lebanon and Syria through political, economic, and social pathways.

He added that the loss of any Lebanese component represents a loss for the entire region, asserting his country's readiness to sit with Hezbollah at the same table if that serves the interests of Syria and Lebanon and promotes the stability of the two countries.

Al-Shara indicated that Syria extends its hand daily to the Lebanese to help find solutions to the existing crises, noting that building states and their development requires the state's monopoly on weapons and the security decision.

He said that any country that possesses military forces outside the framework of its will and control faces significant difficulties in building and development, confirming that the Syrian and Lebanese people have suffered during the past years from the repercussions of the previous stage.

Al-Shara emphasized that sustainable solutions to crises are not limited to security and military aspects, but require comprehensive political, economic, and social management to ensure stability and development in the region.
