Khaberni - The annual report of the Healthcare Sector Transformation Program for last year 2025 revealed qualitative achievements reflecting the growing impact of the transformation journey in Saudi Arabia since the launch of its Vision 2030, confirming the continued progress towards building a more integrated and efficient health system that places human health at the heart of its priorities.
The report clarified that the average lifespan in Saudi Arabia has increased to 79.7 years, approaching the Vision’s target of 80 years, directly reflecting improved public health indicators and the integration of national efforts in prevention and promoting healthy lifestyles and developing their services.
The coverage rate of basic healthcare services reached 97.5% of the population in various regions of the Kingdom, including peripheral areas, enhancing the accessibility to healthcare for all community members.
31 million beneficiaries from “My Health”
On the side of digital health transformation, the health sector continued to establish its position as one of the most prominent transformation models, with the number of beneficiaries of “My Health” application surpassing 31 million, while services of the virtual Seha hospital expanded to reach more than 365 thousand beneficiaries across a network comprising 241 health facilities linked to the system, contributing to delivering specialized services to various regions of the Kingdom. The report also showed investment in national health capabilities, with the number of health professionals in the Kingdom exceeding 803 thousand practitioners, in addition to graduating more than 35 thousand doctors from Saudi Board programs, supporting the quality of health services and enhancing the sector's readiness to meet future needs.
Achieving the target in prevention
In the field of prevention and public health, Saudi Arabia achieved the Vision 2030 target early with a readiness of the health zones to face health risks at 92%, while integrated efforts between government agencies contributed to reducing deaths from traffic accidents by about 60% since the launch of the Vision, and enhancing the speed of response to emergency cases; to preserve lives and reduce human losses and injuries affecting the health of individuals in the Kingdom.

The report confirmed that these results come as an extension of a comprehensive transformation journey that witnessed the reorganization of the roles of the health sector and the establishment of national entities supporting the transformation, to establish a modern health model focused on prevention, enhancing public health, and raising the efficiency of health services for beneficiaries throughout the Kingdom. Governance efforts and institutional integration also contributed to enhancing decision-making efficiency, raising the level of accountability and transparency, and unifying roles and responsibilities among related parties, supporting the sustainability of health transformation and maximizing its impact on quality of life, ensuring the provision of more efficient and effective health services that meet the needs of beneficiaries and align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The 2025 report indicates that the health transformation journey is no longer just measured by indicators and numbers, but by the tangible impact it has had on human life, through better health, closer care, higher quality services, and a health system more ready for the future.
