Khaberni - Reaffirming its commitment to supporting national initiatives that contribute to highlighting Jordan's image and enhancing its presence on the international stage, the Jordan Kuwait Bank provided its sponsorship for the "Jordanian National Day" celebration held in the Italian capital Rome on the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of the Kingdom's independence.
The celebration was organized by the Jordanian Italian Forum Association and the Jordanian Embassy in Rome, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, attended by a number of ambassadors and representatives of brotherly and friendly countries, along with official and diplomatic figures, and a delegation from the Parliamentary Tourism and Antiquities Committee.
This event is part of an international initiative to celebrate the Jordanian National Day in ten capitals around the world, with the aim of introducing Jordan and enhancing its presence on both cultural and tourist levels, and highlighting the civilizational and heritage components that make it a distinguished destination for visitors and investors.
Commenting on this occasion, Haitham Al-Batayneh, CEO of the Jordan Kuwait Bank Group, said: "The bank's support for this national initiative reflects our belief in the importance of national efforts to present the bright image of Jordan and enhance its presence in international forums. These events form an important platform to showcase what Jordan abounds in terms of rich cultural and civilizational legacy, in addition to providing promising opportunities in the fields of investment, tourism, and business. They also reflect the depth of the relationships between the Kingdom and friendly countries including Italy, which contribute to enhancing cooperation and partnerships of common interest."
Al-Batayneh added, “Celebrating the eightieth anniversary of independence represents a national occasion to recall the achievements and developments made by Jordan at various levels, and to continue building on this journey in a way that enhances the Kingdom's regional and international standing."
The celebration included a range of events that reflected the richness and diversity of Jordanian heritage, where attendees had the opportunity to experience traditional Jordanian cuisine through the presentation of a number of popular dishes, in addition to distributing commemorative gifts inspired by the Jordanian identity, and a display of traditional costumes that highlighted the cultural diversity characterizing various regions of the Kingdom, in an experience that received wide acclaim from the attending official and diplomatic figures and representatives of participating entities.
