Arab Engineering Amman Organizes AEE Day Event with the Participation of Leading Personalities and Companies in the Energy Sec

Khaberni - Stemming from Arab Amman University's commitment to aligning its academic outputs with technological developments and industrial sector requirements, and in implementation of university president Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widian's directives, the event was sponsored by Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College of Engineering. The event was attended by Dr. Akram Musa, Head of the Renewable Energy Engineering Department and supervisor of the student branch of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE AAU), and it included the activities of the "Energy Engineers Association Day (AEE Day)," organized by the university’s student branch of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) with participation from a select group of specialists, experts, and representatives from leading companies in the energy sector and pioneers in the local market.

On this occasion, Dr. Al-Assaf emphasized that preparing engineers who possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to keep pace with rapid developments in the energy sector is a priority for Arab Amman University. He highlighted the vital role engineers play in developing communities and enhancing energy security, and he appreciated the efforts put in by the student branch of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), which achieves distinguished achievements and initiatives that reflect the competence of the college students, contributing to raising the university’s name and enhancing its status locally and internationally.

For his part, Dr. Musa praised the continuous support that the department and the student branch receive from the College of Engineering, emphasizing that this support has enhanced students' presence and enabled them to actively participate in specialized scientific and professional activities. He also reviewed the most notable achievements and initiatives of the student branch of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), and the role it plays in honing students' skills and developing their leadership and professional abilities. He stressed the importance of expanding the use of renewable energy sources as they are one of the main pillars for achieving sustainable development and enhancing energy security, pointing out that switching to clean energy represents a strategic choice to face environmental challenges and reduce reliance on fossil fuels, which requires preparing engineering cadres capable of keeping pace with the fast developments in this vital sector.

The event also featured a series of dialogue and interactive sessions in which a number of energy sector experts and specialists participated, including Engineer Nour Al-Din Najdia, Engineer Youssef Al-Hamd, Engineer Suhair Mahirat, and Engineer Samer Al-Zuwayedah, where they shared their professional experiences and career journeys, and presented insights about the sector's current situation, its challenges, and future opportunities. These sessions provided students with an opportunity to directly interact with experts and benefit from their experiences, thus enhancing their professional readiness and linking their academic outcomes with labor market requirements.

The event also saw active participation from a number of leading companies and institutions in the energy and renewable energy sector, including LONGI, Magic Energy, ADVA THERM, Cambridge Engineering Consultants, FB Group, and Wathba Investment Co, where representatives showcased the latest technologies, solutions, and specialized projects in the sector. This allowed students to familiarize themselves with the professional work environment and directly interact with company representatives, gaining knowledge about available training and professional opportunities, and the event also provided an interactive space for communication between students and representatives of specialized companies and institutions, contributing to their understanding of sector requirements and opportunities for training and professional development, in line with Arab Amman University's approach in qualifying its students and enabling them to acquire the skills and experiences that meet labor market needs.

The event included a series of presentations and interactive activities conducted by representative companies and participating specialists, covering the latest technologies and current trends in the energy sector, along with highlighting the major challenges and opportunities related to energy efficiency and sustainability. The student branch members of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) organized engineering contests aimed at fostering a spirit of creativity and scientific competition among students, and enhancing their scientific and practical skills.

At the end of the event, Dr. Akram Musa honored the supporting companies and participating speakers, appreciating their contributions to the success of the event and supporting the educational process. Attendees praised the efforts made by the student branch members of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) in organizing the event and presenting it in an excellent manner that reflects their level of competence and organizational capabilities.
