The College of Applied Medical Sciences in Arab Amman organizes a specialized training workshop on blood drawing

Khaberni - Stemming from the vision of Amman Arab University aimed at providing an integrated educational environment combining theoretical knowledge and practical application, and its ongoing dedication to nurturing the skills of its students and polishing their professional capabilities to meet labor market demands, the College of Applied Medical Sciences at the university organized a specialized training workshop titled "Blood Drawing," presented by Professor Aseel Al-Wahidi, a lab supervisor at the college, with extensive participation from students of the College of Applied Medical Sciences and the College of Pharmacy.

On this matter, Dr. Wisam Al-Wazni, acting dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, indicated that the workshop aimed to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills related to blood drawing procedures following scientific foundations and practices adopted in medical laboratories, which contributes to enhancing their practical skills and professional readiness for the health sector labor market requirements.

The workshop included theoretical and practical aspects. The theoretical part covered the basics of sampling and safe handling of patients and laboratory samples, along with identifying the tools used and general safety procedures. The practical side offered students the opportunity to directly apply the blood drawing procedures under specialized supervision, which helped cement the acquired information and enhance the practical benefits from it. The workshop witnessed notable interaction from participants who showed great interest in the training content and a genuine desire to develop their laboratory skills and gain practical experience necessary for their professional future.

This workshop is part of a series of training activities and specialized workshops organized by the College of Applied Medical Sciences at Amman Arab University, reaffirming its commitment to developing students' skills and academically and professionally preparing them to match modern developments and labor market needs.
