Khaberni - The German national team achieved a dramatic victory in stoppage time against its counterpart, the Ivory Coast national team, during the second round of the World Cup 2026 group stage.
The match, which was held on Saturday evening at the Toronto Stadium, ended with a 2-1 victory for the Germans.
The Ivory Coast team opened the scoring in the 30th minute through team captain Frank Kessie, with a shot from the middle of the penalty area that settled in the net of the German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
In the second half, the German team woke up and managed to equalize at the 68th minute through Deniz Undav.
In the fourth minute of stoppage time, Undav scored his second personal goal and the winning goal for his national team, granting the Germans a precious victory that moved them to the round of 32 of the tournament.
