The Bible House launches the initiative Nashami AlBawadi

Khaberni -   The Bible Society launched the “Nashami Al-Bawadi” initiative in conjunction with the participation of the Jordanian national football team in the World Cup finals, aiming to support children in remote areas and provide them the opportunity to engage with this widely followed sporting event in Jordan.

The initiative targeted children in the areas of Deir Al-Kahf and Methnaet Rajel in the northeastern desert, where these areas suffer from limited sports facilities and a lack of basic supplies that help children to engage in sports activities.

The support included more than 50 children, by providing them with Jordanian national team jerseys, sports shoes, and footballs, contributing to a better environment for sports and enhancing their participation in the atmosphere of following the national team during the tournament.

The Secretary-General of the Bible Society, Munther Al-Neimat, said that the initiative comes within the framework of the Society's corporate social responsibility and its commitment to reaching children in distant areas, emphasizing that sports represent an important space for developing children's abilities and enhancing their community participation.

Al-Neimat added that the attention the Jordanian sports receive from His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, alongside the role played by His Highness Prince Ali bin Hussein in developing Jordanian football, motivates national institutions to support community initiatives related to youth and children.

He pointed out that the initiative aimed to enable children to benefit from the opportunity provided by the sports achievement of the national team, by providing some basic needs that help them engage in their sports hobbies in the face of challenges in remote areas.

The “Nashami Al-Bawadi” initiative is part of the community and humanitarian programs of the Society, focusing on supporting groups with less access to services and activities, and enhancing children's opportunities in participating in events and activities that develop their skills and support their integration into society.
