iOS 27 Changes Photo Experience New Tools Based on Apple Intelligence

Khaberni - The Photos app on iPhones has received new features with iOS 27, including more advanced tools for editing photos using artificial intelligence, improvements in shared albums, and new options for organizing, searching, and displaying content in more flexible ways.

According to the American site 9to5Mac, the new update focuses not on changing the look of the app or redesigning its interface, but on enhancing the core functions that users rely on daily by integrating "Apple Intelligence" technologies into a number of new features.

Photo Editing
One of the most notable additions in iOS 27 is a collection of advanced editing tools based on artificial intelligence, where Apple has developed the "Clean Up" tool to become more precise and effective in removing unwanted elements and distracting objects within photos.

The company also added a new tool named "Extend," which automatically extends the borders of the image and creates new parts of the scene that harmonize with the original content, for adjusting dimensions or correcting the tilt of the images.

As for the "Reframe" tool, it offers a completely different experience, as it allows adjusting the angle of the scene within the photo after it has been captured, benefiting from spatial perception technologies used in the "Vision Pro" glasses, to make the result appear as though the camera captured the image from a completely new angle.

Broadened Sharing of Albums
The updates are not limited to editing only, as the shared albums via iCloud have undergone the most significant development in years.

Users can now share photos and videos in their full original quality, along with the ability to share albums with Android and Windows device users.

Apple also added new features that include interacting using any emoji, setting a time duration for the expiration of albums, as well as granting additional permissions to participants and making it easier to save photos.

Automatic Organization of the Digital Library
In the context of improving content management, Apple has introduced new tools that help users quickly access their important photos.

Among these tools is a section called "Taken by Me," which displays only photos captured by the user's camera, excluding saved images or screenshots, in addition to a "Personal Documents" section that uses artificial intelligence to detect important documents such as passports and driver's licenses and gathers them in one place.

It is now also possible to add keywords to photos to facilitate future search and archival operations.

The improvements also include a slideshow feature, where the user is now able to customize transition effects between photos and control the duration of the entire display or the duration of each photo separately.

The new feature also provides the ability to save the slideshow directly in the form of a video file, to facilitate sharing it via different apps or keeping it as a digital memory ready for viewing.
