Khaberni - An official in the Iranian national team announced that their football federation will file a complaint with its international counterpart (FIFA) because of the "restrictions" imposed on its team during the World Cup, which, according to him, prevent it from preparing comfortably for its match against Belgium.
The Iranian team had previously expressed its dissatisfaction with the United States' refusal to grant visas to some members of the team's support staff for participation in the tournament, and now complains that it will not be allowed to arrive in Los Angeles "until one day before the match" instead of two days as usual.
The official considered in a statement that these "restrictions contrast with the principle of equal opportunities among all participating teams and could harm the preparations", adding "therefore, the federation will formally express its displeasure and will file an official complaint with FIFA through the appropriate channels".
