Khaberni - Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, represented by the Academic Development Division of the Office of Accreditation and Quality Assurance, concluded the training workshop titled "Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Faculty Members", with participation from (15) faculty members, in the framework of the university's efforts to enhance digital awareness and spread the culture of cybersecurity among its academic staff.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Leila Al-Bdoor from the College of Science and Information Technology, where she discussed the concept of cybersecurity and its importance in protecting data and information, and highlighted the major cyber threats facing individuals and institutions, including cyber attacks, malware, and digital fraud.
The workshop also included a presentation on the most important preventative practices and security measures, such as creating strong passwords, using two-factor authentication (2FA), recognizing phishing tactics and fraudulent messages, as well as best practices for protecting devices and electronic accounts and dealing with hacking attempts.
The workshop emphasized the importance of enhancing security awareness among faculty members and empowering them to implement necessary preventative measures, contributing to a secure digital environment that supports the educational and research processes within the university.
