Khaberni - Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, represented by the Academic Development Division of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Office, concluded the training workshop entitled "Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence for Faculty Members", which was held with the participation of (14) faculty members, as part of the university's efforts to develop the capabilities of its academic staff and keep up with technological advancements in the higher education sector.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Hani Omar from the College of Science and Information Technology, where he reviewed the basic concepts of artificial intelligence and machine learning, highlighted their applications in various scientific and practical fields, and introduced the types of modern artificial intelligence, including generative artificial intelligence, computer vision, and natural language processing.
The workshop also addressed the ethical dimensions associated with the use of artificial intelligence technologies, emphasizing the importance of employing these technologies responsibly and effectively in education and learning processes, contributing to the development of teaching practices and improving the quality of academic outputs.
This workshop is part of a series of training programs implemented by the Academic Development Division to enhance the professional competencies of faculty members, and support the adoption of modern digital technologies in the university environment.
