Khaberni - New York City Police reported on Thursday afternoon that gunfire was fired in the famous Times Square, with no reported injuries.
The police confirmed to the AFP agency that the incident occurred in the square, which hosts large numbers of fans of teams participating in the World Cup, who have been visiting the American city since the start of the soccer tournament last week.
A widely circulated video on social media showed a state of panic among people in Times Square at the moment of hearing the gunshots.
