Khaberni - The Bank of England has kept the main interest rate at a level of 3.75%, the level at which the interest has stabilized since December 2025.
Following the decision, Bank Governor Andrew Bailey stated that the recent decline in oil prices is a positive and encouraging development, but the potential increase in energy costs still poses a risk of inflation that could affect the price trajectory in the coming period.
The Bank indicated that it expects the inflation rate for the remainder of the year to be lower than its previous estimates, signaling a relative improvement in price outlook compared to previous expectations.
Bailey explained that keeping interest rates at their current level represents "the most appropriate choice at the moment," emphasizing the need to continue monitoring economic and geopolitical developments before taking any further steps.
