TikTok deletes 118 million noncompliant videos in the Middle East in 3 months

Khaberni - TikTok announced the results of its community guidelines enforcement report for the fourth quarter of 2025, confirming its ongoing commitment to providing a safe, positive, and authentic digital environment for its global community through the development of monitoring tools and the enhancement of digital safety systems and content policies.

The platform revealed that approximately 11,772,196 videos were removed in the Middle East and North Africa region from October/November to December 2025, due to their violation of community guidelines.

TikTok confirmed that these actions reflect its ongoing investment in safety and trust building, through a combination of advanced technologies and trust and safety teams' expertise to review content and take appropriate actions.

In its effort to protect younger age groups, the platform announced the removal of 23,875,879 accounts suspected to be linked to individuals under the age of 13, alongside the deletion of 147,716,518 fake accounts globally during the fourth quarter of 2025.

TikTok clarified that the focus on protecting minors forms part of its strategy to provide age-appropriate digital experiences and foster a safe environment that promotes creativity, while continuing to develop proactive supervision tools.

The platform also continued to intensify measures against non-compliant live streams, with 42,822,827 live streams globally suspended during the fourth quarter of 2025, compared to 32,242,750 live streams suspended during the third quarter of the same year, an increase of approximately 32.9%.

During the same period, TikTok banned 358,160 live stream hosts and proactively stopped 974,661 live streams for violating the platform's policies, reflecting an expansion of monitoring actions while maintaining the accuracy of review decisions.

In Egypt, TikTok deleted 2,380,226 videos in the fourth quarter of 2025 for violating community guidelines, achieving a proactive deletion rate of 99.9%, meaning that the majority of non-compliant content was detected and removed before being reported by users.

The platform removed 98.4% of non-compliant content within 24 hours of being reported, and reinstated 109,881 videos after accepting appeal requests, along with banning 126,095 live stream hosts and stopping 357,652 live streams for violating platform policies.

TikTok videos deleted in Saudi Arabia
In Saudi Arabia, TikTok deleted 2,903,914 non-compliant videos during the fourth quarter of 2025, achieving a proactive deletion rate of 99.9%, and removing 98.4% of non-compliant content within 24 hours of being reported.

The platform also reinstated 146,314 videos after reviewing user-submitted appeals.

TikTok videos deleted in Iraq
In Iraq, TikTok deleted 4,691,021 videos that violated community guidelines, with a proactive deletion rate of 99.9%, and removing 98.4% of non-compliant content within 24 hours of being reported.

The platform reinstated 148,663 videos after reviewing appeals, banned 181,918 live stream hosts, and stopped 472,669 live streams for violations.

TikTok videos deleted in Lebanon
In Lebanon, TikTok deleted 1,009,902 non-compliant videos during the fourth quarter of 2025, while maintaining a proactive deletion rate of 99.9%, and removing 98.4% of non-compliant content within 24 hours of being reported.

The platform also restored 23,953 videos after accepting appeal requests, banned 11,804 live stream hosts, and stopped 44,241 live streams for violating community guidelines.

Revenue generation measures through TikTok
TikTok continued to apply live broadcast revenue generation policies aimed at supporting content creators who provide safe, authentic, and high-quality content.

During the fourth quarter of 2025, the platform implemented measures that included issuing warnings and suspending revenue generation for 17,714,756 live broadcasts and 9,277,720 live content creators globally for violating revenue generation guidelines, while 3,753,339 live broadcasts were restored during the same period.

TikTok confirmed that transparency is a key element in building trust with users, indicating the continued reliance on a regulatory model that combines advanced technology and specialized human expertise.

The platform added that it will continue to invest in supervision systems and enhance policies to protect age groups and expand digital safety measures, aiming to provide a safe environment that allows communities in the Middle East and North Africa to use the platform confidently and support creativity.
