Khaberni - The pre-order for "GTA 6" (GTA 6), eagerly awaited by video game enthusiasts for years, begins on June 25, as announced by "Rockstar Games" on Thursday.
After being postponed twice, "Grand Theft Auto 6" or GTA 6 is scheduled to be released in markets on November 19. It is the latest edition of the famous series that started in 1997, coming about 13 years after "GTA 5", the second best-selling video game in history, according to the agency "France Press".
The company explained in a post on the X platform that the pre-order would be available through digital platforms and a number of selected stores.
"Rockstar Games" has not specified the price of the edition, but analysts expect it to start at $80 based on previous statements by company officials and industry reports.
The new version of the game was originally scheduled for release in 2025, but the company delayed it twice.
Upon announcing the latest delay in mid-last year, they said "We hope you understand that we need more time to deliver the level of quality you expect."
The reveal trailer released in December 2023 features chases, yacht parties, and for the first time, a female main character. This clip garnered about 250 million views on "Rockstar Games" YouTube page.
The previous installment, "GTA 5," was released in 2013, sold over 200 million copies, has been issued for most console units since then, and is also available on PC.
"GTA VI" (GTA 6) returns to "Vice City," inspired by the city of Miami, and allows enthusiasts to once again play the role of gangsters. A previous part also took place in the same city in 2002.
Despite its success, this series has sparked controversy due to the criminal behavior of its characters which, according to critics, encourages players to emulate these characters in real life. The characters in the game engage in activities including shooting, committing crimes, and reckless driving.
