Khaberni - Israel announced on Thursday the suspension of communications with the European Union's foreign policy chief Kaya Kalas, due to statements attributed to her that compared Israel to the apartheid regime in South Africa.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said on the X platform, "It was reported that during her (Kalas) visit to Mexico, she compared Israel to the apartheid regime that existed in South Africa."
He added, "Therefore, as the Foreign Minister of the State of Israel, I have no choice but to cut all communications with Mrs. Kalas until she retracts" what she said.
