Secret Journey between Cairo and Tel Aviv What has the Hebrew Media Observed

Khaberni - Israeli media unveiled a special air trip between Cairo and Tel Aviv amidst intense diplomatic activities between Israel and Egypt to discuss the future of arms in Gaza.
The Israeli platform "Nativ Net" said that an Israeli business jet, a C560 with registration number 4X-CMC, carried out a quick round trip flight between Tel Aviv and Cairo on June 13, suggesting it was linked to negotiations about the second phase of the Gaza deal. The Hebrew platform added that Hamas and other Palestinian factions are also in Cairo discussing the future of their arms.

It pointed out that the mentioned flight and the current round of talks in Cairo aim to enhance the "second phase" of the ceasefire plan in Gaza, in which the disarmament of Hamas is a cornerstone of the dispute.

The platform said that the quick trip of the "Cessna Citation 5" private jet, owned by the Israeli company "Aviation Bridge," is part of a network of secret air communications between the two countries.

It added that the official identity of passengers on such private flights remains undisclosed, but according to intelligence reports and analysts, the plane carried top officials in the Israeli intelligence community, "Mossad and Shin Bet," for an urgent meeting with officers of the Egyptian General Intelligence to discuss new proposals at the negotiation table and the positions of the Palestinian factions gathered in Cairo.

It noted that the talks revolve around implementing the "second phase" of the comprehensive arrangements plan for the Gaza Strip based on an American initiative previously formulated.
The platform stated that according to Palestinian sources and mediators, preliminary approval was reached for most of the plan's clauses, 14 or 15 out of 16, which include the delivery of extensive humanitarian aid, rebuilding of the sector, opening of crossings, and the phased withdrawal of Israeli military forces.

It added that a cornerstone of the dispute is the categorical refusal by Hamas and other factions of the Israeli and international demand for complete and immediate disarmament of the military arms.

It pointed out that to break the deadlock, Hamas, along with mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, formulated a new version that does not involve immediate handover of arms but rather a phased collection and storage of fighting means, only to be conducted alongside the complete withdrawal of the Israeli military from the sector and under future Palestinian government mechanism to be established, such as a technocrat government.

The platform stated that the Palestinian delegation in Cairo is now waiting for the official response from Israel and the United States on this updated formula. It added that Israel expresses significant doubts, while the concentrated military pressure by the Israeli army in the field continues to prevent Hamas from rebuilding its strength and political stature.

Cairo plays a pivotal role in mediating between Israel and the Palestinian factions since the outbreak of the current war, as the Egyptian capital has hosted multiple rounds of direct and indirect negotiations.

Egypt is considered the guarantor of the ceasefire agreements due to its direct security interests in stabilizing the Sinai Peninsula and preventing the expansion of military operations on its eastern borders.

Egypt has been linked by a peace treaty with Israel since 1979, which grants it a unique diplomatic influence that enables it to play the role of a relatively acceptable mediator to all parties, despite the significant challenges posed by the complexities of the security and political file in Gaza.
